Authentic Chrysanthemum Fabulous Festival at Yamazato
During autumn in Japan, the chrysanthemum flower, the national symbol of the country, is celebrated at festivals featuring lavish floral displays that have been specially cultivated for the occasion. At this time of year chrysanthemum petals are even included in traditional simmered and pickled dishes. To celebrate the season, Master Chef Shigeru Hagiwara at our award-winning Yamazato restaurant has created authentic chrysanthemum Gozen lunch and Kaiseki dinner menus. Highlights include a dish of simmered sweet fish with roe, taro, chrysanthemum blossom and leaves. Showcased on the Kaiseki dinner menus is a sashimi course of tuna, yellow tail, seasonal saury fish, and surf clam. Enjoy them and much more throughout September 2017.
