What people say about us

"Luxurious and finest quality in every aspect"

by Sherryn T (Singapore) on 22/05/2017 -

Totally enjoyed every moment spent in and out of my room in a short 3 day span within the compound of the hotel and its facilities - excellent place and will definitely go back again and recommend to all!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

"Modern, clean, with great breakfast"

by Andreas-INN on 22/05/2017 -

The Okura is close to Lumpini Park and to several high-end shopping malls, as to the Skytrain (Ploenchit station). Rooms are very clean, modern but not really big. Service and staff is perfect and they do offer one of the the best breakfast buffets in Bangkok (better than Penninsula and Mandarin Oriental).  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

"Great Experience with my partner"

by Regan W on 21/05/2017 -

I went to Bangkok with my partner for our first anniversary. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the breakfast. And the staff Mr. Bruin was very polite and he introduced hotel room for me. We appreciated them to give us an unforgettable trip.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

"Great experience"

by Yulia G (Minneapolis; Minnesota, United States of America) on 21/05/2017 -

We received a warm welcome upon our arrival. The decor was clean, modern, and elegant. We we're fortunate and received a corner room, which gave us spectacular views of the city. The breakfast buffet choices were diverse and well prepared. For a tea drinker like myself, I really appreciated having loose-leaf tea in a room all ready for brewing. The house cleaning staff was detailed and even folded the clothes that were strewn about when we rushed out to see the sights. The pool offers a one of a kind experience. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Peaceful luxury

Bangkok is a busy city, but The Okura is a welcome respite from the heat, humidity and crowds. The rooms are well appointed with large comfortable beds and great showers with great attention to detail, including lovely scented bath salts to use in the deep tub. The gym is bright and airy and has a good variety of equipment, more than most hotel gyms. There are steam and dry saunas in the locker rooms to add to the relaxation and you can't beat the view from the infinity pool. The staff is attentive but not intrusive. A great hotel. If you can splurge, the club level offers breakfast, snacks and an evening happy hour.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Wonderful 5 day experience at the Okura Prestige

Stayed here on business over 5 day period. First time in Bangkok and the location of this hotel was superb in the centre of the city - close to parks / embassies, shopping malls and sky train.

From the moment you arrived you were well cared for - to have the person checking you in to the hotel then take you to your room and quickly and confidently explain how things work was a great touch. My room was spacious, clean and modern bathroom.

All areas within the hotel are visually stunning, clever and tasteful.

Laundry service, room service was great and delivered a wine knife which can some times be an issue. Media on Tv was excellent with movies available on demand. Enjoyed the pool in the late afternoons which had both sun or shade depending on how you felt. Lets also remember this pool hangs off the side of the 25th story so the view isn't bad either. gym and spa are worth a visit.

Breakfast was at either the Japanese restaurant, Yamazato or the larger Up and Above which had a large selection of the usual suspects. Order your egg selection from your table.

Great shopping centre - Central Embassy is right next door with food - Ground flr Eat Thai and level 5 & 6. This is a high end mall ( with great air conditioning). There are plenty of other options close by which are worth searching out with the concierges help.

Can't recommend this place highly enough - as many have said the staff here are something special. Thank you.

  • 7 star experience

Truly an amazing experience. We travel a lot but have never had the level of service and attention to detail as with this hotel. Everything is catered for and thought of in advance. The staff give the best advice about restaurants including great directions. This happened over and over - just perfect. Best of all - everybody smiles very genuine smiles and seem to really want you to enjoy your stay. Loved it and would go back again and again.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Modern 5 Stars

Location: Excellent location, the hotel got direct link to BTS "Ploenchit" station. Located right in the centre of the city. 5 min walk to Central Embassy and Ratchaprasong shopping malls.

Room: Big, modern and cozy room with high quality toiletries

Service: 5 stars service and hint of Japanese+Thai hospitality.

Facilities: Infinity edge pool and fully equipped gym

Cons: Hotel is locates in a mix-use of office building on lower floor. So you got a mixture of office and hotel.

Summary: Very nice room in great location worth a visit  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Comparing Okura Prestige with SO Sofitel Bangkok.

I was torn between staying here and at the SO Sofitel Bangkok, so my boyfriend and I stayed one night at each place. They were both excellent hotels, and both had their positives and negatives. It's difficult to say one is better than the other - it just depends on what you want.

    ROOM: Winner - SO Sofitel

    - We stayed in a Premier Club room at the Okura, and at SO Sofitel we stayed in a corner Signature Club room. I preferred the look of the room at SO Sofitel - the view of the city was incredible (helped by it being a corner room) and I LOVED that you were also overlooking Lumpini Park. The room at SO was extremely open and modern looking and had automatic drapes which was cool. The bathtub overlooked the whole city. Toilet was the standard bum-gun toilet. Complimentary mini bar came with a few nonalcoholic drinks and a couple of snacks, and we also got a free box of chocolates. Nice little espresso machine too!

    - Our room at Okura felt small despite it being larger than our room at SO, and the drapes weren't automatic (not a big deal, but still less modern). The room was dark and I didn't like the carpet. The bath did not have any city views. The complementary minibar did not have food, but had 6 beers (a big bonus in my book)! The toilet was also extremely nice as it was a bidet rather than the standard bum-gun toilet, so the bathroom was better than SO in this regard. Okura had a nice Japanese tea set in the room as well as an iron for clothes.

    CLUB: Winner - Okura

    - The club at Okura had a complimentary cocktail hour for club members from 5:30-7:30 pm. SO Sofitel also had a club cocktail hour from 5 - 7 pm. The food and drinks were definitely better than those offered at SO Sofitel. The cheeses offered were much better (bleu and brie were so delicious), they had yummy sushi(!), better cold meats, and the wines were actually ranked pretty highly whereas the wines at SO were ranked as average. Cocktails were absolutely fantastic at Okura and were average at SO.

    - SO Sofitel perhaps had more variety with the food, but it wasn't as quality. SO Sofitel also had an outdoor patio with great views while Okura did not.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Enjoy it very much!

Great stay and excellent customer service. No complaint at all. Very convenient to BTS. Convenient store, pharmacy, and a cafe are right next to the hotel. Food from the lounge and Japanese restaurant are also very nice.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Very enjoyable stay

Great services, nice location (directly connected to BTS station) and good facilities. We asked Concierge to help in booking some restaurants and spa, but those we picked were not available. Concierge recommended other choices which were all good ones. And hotel sent a birthday cake to our room on my wife's birthday. Real surprise.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • New, convenient and modern ...

I stayed here 3 nights with my husband. The hotel lobby is located on 24/F, it is new, grand looking, and the staff are well trained. I stayed on the top floor, 34/F, overlooking the city view which is very nice. Rooms are spacious. Toilet is me w and tidy with separate shower area.

Breakfast serves Japanese style in their Japanese restaurant and Western style, which have a good variety to choose in a buffet setting. Swimming pool is on 25/F, overlooking the city with buy one get one free drink after 12noon.

Location is convenient, walking distant to the Embassy shopping mall, connecting to sky train.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Comfortable and convenient

I have been in this hotel last year, and my brother in law loves this hotel very much, and we come here again this year. This is a very beautiful and not very big hotel. It's small, but comfortable, my niece loves the infinity pool very much, I saw girls took pictures in the pool, it seems that they came here only for photos, then I saw a model like figure girl came here for photos for nearly 2 hours. I think this infinity pool must be very beautiful and a very different one. The staff here are very helpful, they booked a few massage and restaurants for us, and they are very patient. I love the morning breakfast very much, lots of interesting drinks, I learn something like "butterfly pea" drinks, it's a drink good for health, and there a few other drinks good for health also. I am surprised that the people here are quite concern the health of their hotel guests. There are lots of fruits, but I am a bit disappointed that there are lots of delicious mangos last year, but there's no mangos for breakfast this year. I like the Japanese breakfast also, it's yummy and different. I am glad that they serve the sakura tea in the breakfast, it's something different, I can see the staff here serve their customers by heart. The hotel is close to Siam and Central World. One night I visited Siam Discovery and left before 10pm, I am glad that there's only 2 stops from Siam to the hotel. Thanks for the staff in the hotel, I had a very comfortable experience with the hotel and had a very relax holiday.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • A home away from home

Comfy beds, friendly service, good food..! Once you are in Bangkok, don't miss staying at the Okura Prestige. I enjoyed their happy hour at the club lounge, nice swimming pool and good SPA services, I also didn't miss going to the gym.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Very nice Hotel

Very modern hotel and have a lot of digital equipments in the room. This hotel has a separate concierge as well as the restaurant for special quest. I liked the breakfast and also the cocktail menu for the dinner.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Japanese Perfection at its best

Not large but truely appropriate in size. Rare rooms with even minutest details being given due importance. Neither bright nor loud very nice and quite stay. The sliding doors add so much value to the room that I have never seen before.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Yamazato is the best Japanese restaurant in BKK!!!

Food makes everyone happy, nice presentation. Staff were well dressed, friendly with very nice service but their was a one off incident which didn’t make me feel welcomed at the hotel at all, Concierge table at 1st floor (May1, between 10 -10.30 p.m.), I just ask him for stamp the Car park and the restroom but reaction from him are not too responsive, no smile with disrespectful voice, his service should be improved.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Great Escape in Bangkok

Stumble upon this hotel from the website and decided to stay here for a try. Nice Hotel overall and service was good. Room is clean and up to date. Only set back was the bed a little worn out and sunken. Other then that, overall the hotel was in a great location and very near to the BTS (Train) station which was great to get around. Would definitely return for another stay and had a relaxing moment here. Great place to relax!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • The best hotel in BKK

The best hotel in BKK ever! Nice staff, efficiency and productivity service. Tasty breakfast especially Japanese breakfast, don't miss it! Special thanks to Mr. Takashi Watanabe, 6 star Japanese hotel service!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • 6 stars hotel

Newly constructed few years ago at the center of Bangkok landmark, opposite to Central Embassy which connected to Central Chidlom. Hotel has direct access to sky train BTS which is very convenient to travelers. Room is classic modern. Staff is really welcome by international standard.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Nice new hotel

This hotel could have received full marks if the staff were more friendly and if the rooms were ready at their stated check in time. We booked three rooms and 2 of the three rooms weren't ready at 5pm. Do not expect an early or even an on time check in time. There were plenty of guests waiting at the lobby to check in to their rooms at 4 and it was still unavailable. There was certainly no Thai charm at this hotel as the Receptionist all had a sour look to their faces and really didn't want to be there.

The nearest shopping mall is Central Embassy which is opposite the hotel but it's one of the saddest shopping malls I have been to in Bangkok. There were hardly anyone there and the shops had very few stock.

The plus side is that the rooms are immaculate and there are lots of amenities in the rooms. There is a turn down service in the evening and they put a nice robe on the bed. The breakfast in the morning was quite good and you get a choice of the western buffet or at the Japanese restaurant which serves a bento.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Lovely hotel

Great hotel, if you want to spend the money (which we all know you don't need to do in Bangkok, or indeed Thailand!).

Everything you would expect - great rooms (huge) with incredibly comfortable beds and excellent service.

Gorgeous swimming pool - unfortunately it doesn't stay in the sun all day, with most of the deckchairs in the shade by lunchtime. At the time of our visit (March 2017) there was also a lot of loud construction taking place opposite the hotel and directly opposite the pool. Lovely bar area for sundown drinks.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Family getaway

Stayed for 5 nights at this japanese inspired hotel. Service is great, rooms are large and comfortable. Centrally located across from shopping centre. Restaurants are great and staff are attentive, great choice at buffett. Booked here for pool but too warm, more like a hot bath and not enough seating. Stunning view though from the pool either sunset or sunrise.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com
