"Excellent Stay"

by Laith Y (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) on 26/06/2017 -

After a long flight and drive in the busy streets of Bangkok, we finally made it to the hotel. Had 4 rooms booked (3 triple & 2 double)

Our check in experience wasn't the best due to some system error which made us sit and wait for couple of hours - this was compromised with the deluxe rooms being upgraded to suites. The Suites were amazing - excellent views, large size and just perfect.. giving you a feel of Japan and the great Japanese hospitality.

The service provided did compromise to the system error with all the apologies we were showered with!

The hotel offers two breakfast options, an international buffet as well as a Japanese one. Make sure to try both.

Don't forget to head to the infinity pool on the 25th floor for a great picture overlooking the city!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

"Central Location, Impeccable Service and Great Food"

by Sean201503 (Macau, China) on 26/06/2017 -

Well appointed and furnished western-sized rooms. Just a 5 minute walk over an elevated walkway to the nearest BTS Station and one of Bangkok's newest shopping centers. Breakfast offered extensive Asian and western staples, juices and fruits, all freshly prepared. We dined in the western restaurant and in the high-end Japanese restaurant. While the western food was fine, we really enjoyed the food and experience in the Japanese restaurant, having been assigned our own personal chef by the lovely manager.

While there was an avoidable misunderstanding concerning the features of our package, which we booked on the hotel's own website, the management staff became quite attentive over our 8-day visit and very generously arranged little bento boxes of goodies waiting in our room from time to time to make up for the glitch.

Only disappointment was the swimming pool. OK, it was quite flash being cantilevered from the side of the highest floors of the hotel building (23rd-24th)! But with a very dark finish to its bottom and sides, I found it more than somewhat off-putting. The film entitled "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" came to mind. The architect in charge should have his or her head examined! (However, my wife used the pool and was not bothered by the darkness.)  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

"Outstanding Hotel!"

by veneetk2016 on 21/06/2017 -

Superb Japanese themed hotel with first rate service. Large and very clean and well appointed rooms, with even a Kimono thrown in for use in the evening. The bathrooms are great too and was equipped with the super fancy Japanese Toilet Seat. Japanese Tea in the room was a great touch. It is probably the finest hotel located along Sukhumvit Road. It is a bonus that the hotel is attached to the Ploenchit Sky Train Station. Can not recommend enough.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Good!!! Good!!! Good!!!

Love this hotel. Location is superb, right besides the Skytrain station. Overall, a Japanese-theme hotel where they even provide you with kimono in the evening. Service was awesome and room was very comfortable. For breakfast, they have the international breakfast and Japanese breakfast. I went for the Japanese breakfast and wasn't disappointed.

Will definitely return to stay here again!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Outstanding hotel!

The Okura Prestige Hotel, Bangkok is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. Service is very good with very friendly and helpful staff. Food is also great. I enjoyed the breakfast and lunch buffets. There's a bounty of seafood offered.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Great rooms

The rooms are well designed, spacious and have gorgeous views. We upgraded for club lounge access and not sure it was worth it. The food during the cocktail hour was just ok and we opted for the buffet breakfast on the 24th floor. The lounge is fairly small. Service was great overall and I'd consider staying again.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Must try

Okura Hotel is one of the best amount over 20 five stars hotel that I have tried in Thailand within last 10 years. As Thailand five stars hotel price is very affordable, wise to spend the value for money and try the experience here

Since the hotel lobby is at 24F so all rooms are in fact high floor. Premium room start from I think 30F or 31F, and a bit bigger. But the standard room is already big enough for short stay, so I won't recommend to spend that extra money in this case.

Everything in the room and lobby is up to five stars hotel standard. Check in is fast. And the buffet breakfast is super with lots of variety. But I do not recommend to take the breakfast in the Japanese restaurant, even it is also taste very good but since they offer set instead of buffet, so in terms of value for money again, I would try it again. And I definitely will take the western restaurant next time again.

Infinitely pool on 25F has great city view but not big, but it is a big relief during hot summer in Bangkok.

Compare with the Okura Macau Hotel, I love the Bangkok one more.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Exceptional hotel

Great hotel in a nice location conveniently located near the pholen chit bts skytrain stop. Loads of high shops close by and plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance too. Staff were lovely and friendly, room was big with mega comfy bed. Infinity pool was lovely and everywhere was clean and well looked after. Wifi signal spot on in room at at pool, better than at home in the U.K!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • I have excellent experience staying in OKURA. please keep it up!

Please try to include the western dishes with your refreshment period. All in all I am very much satisfied with your serves. The mix of drinks is also excellent. one thing which i would like to comment is the lack of DSTV to watch the premier league. I am a fun of football but can't find the service from your TV set up.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Very nice!

Excellence location, safe and convenience. Walking distance to main shopping mall and city centre. Staff are helpful, house keepings are play good attention to details. Their breakfast buffet provide very good quality of food in an comfy environment. Can't miss their swimming pool even you don't swim, it's one of the best photo spot in BKK!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Excellent service

Stayed 4 nights. The Okura has everything that you would expect from a excellent 5 star hotel. What makes it stand out is e excellent service. The service is consistently excellent from the hotel reception to house keeping.

    Very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Another highlight is the eatery Eatthai at the basement Central Embassay, located diagonally across the road from the Okura.

  • Excellent stay

This is our first time in Bangkok and my husband want to experience this Japanese brand hotel. The hotel lobby is on the 24th floor with very high ceilings and beautiful floral arrangement through your the hotel. We arrive after mid night and after we check in the front desk gentleman walk us to our room and gave us a tour. Excellent service !! We order room service the food was amazing and came in white linen table. Wow!! It has a gorgeous infinity pool and a spacious 24h gym. Hotel is closely access to BTS Phloen Chit station and Central Embassy mall. I highly recommend this hotel and will love to come back here again.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Relaxing and Must Stay Hotel

First stay at the Okura Bangkok. Had a great experience and highly recommend to book high room facing Sukumvit. The room was always clean and staff was always attentive.I really enjoyed the comfort and service. Nothing could be compared to the Japanese minerals in my bathroom, especially after long and tiring walk. It’s so easy to get to the sky train from the Hotel through their special route, particularly if it’s rainy season, or hot summer with high humidity outside.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Pleasant!

Located in a very convenient location of this bustling city, the Okura is a modern hotel with Japanese style and influences. Many things make it a standout: it's a high rise with nice views; it's outdoor terrace where we enjoyed drinks and lunch; and the indoor lounge where it was particularly nice to listen to jazz over a couple of martinis. The standard rooms are nicely decorated; I particularly appreciated the large rain shower experience. The bed was amazing. The daily fresh fruit presented in a nice basket added a special, charming touch. The staff is amazing, professional, courteous, and well trained to deliver outstanding service!!! The gym is a perfect size for this hotel and the pool is a must!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

Totally enjoyed every moment spent in and out of my room in a short 3 day span within the compound of the hotel and its facilities - excellent place and will definitely go back again and recommend to all!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Modern, clean, with great breakfast

The Okura is close to Lumpini Park and to several high-end shopping malls, as to the Skytrain (Ploenchit station). Rooms are very clean, modern but not really big. Service and staff is perfect and they do offer one of the the best breakfast buffets in Bangkok (better than Penninsula and Mandarin Oriental).  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com
