"An oasis in the centre of Bangkok"

by thesaint9 (Singapore) on 27/03/2017 -

By any measure this is a fantastic hotel. The service, the design, the rooms and the food all marvel. A great blend of Japanese design and Thai hospitality. The Japanese restaurant is worth a visit even if you're not staying at the hotel. The rest of Bangkok is accessible as your next to the BTS station. I have stayed here before and will stay here again.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

"Enjoyable"

by mramade (New York City, New York; United States of America) on 26/03/2017 -

The Okura has the perfect balance of elegance, comfort, friendliness, and hospitality. Very good service with superb food. The staff is very attentive but not fawning.

Will most likely return for an extended trip next time. The central location is perfect for perusing around town by the BTS (sky train). We met the manager, and she was very accommodating. She came to check on us during breakfast just to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. I have to say, the customer service alone is reason enough to return.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

"Great business hotel with delicious food"

by sashisemail (Washington DC, District of Columbia; United States of America) on 26/03/2017 -

Wonderful views of the Bangkok skyline can be enjoyed every day during the amazing breakfast buffet. Definitely one of the best of the hotels in this area - the food is always impeccable and delicious. Its also a great location to the BTS (Ploen Chit) and Central World shopping and food. Highly recommend it over the other options nearby.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

"Perfection!"

by Janopetsa (Nacka, Sweden) on 23/03/2017 -

The Prestige Okura is undeniably the best run hotel I have ever stayed at.Spotlessly clean and welcoming lobby and a soothing well equipped spa area and spacious pleasing rooms located within a quiet safe neighborhood near to the Sukumvit business and entertainment area. This hotel is a concept above the extraordinary.Streamlined and tasteful, luxurious yet not ostentatious. But as always the deal maker or breaker are the quality of the staff. The sheer friendliness and humble love and nurturing this staff put into their work is truly inspiring.Yes, fantastic service does still exist and it's to be found here.I unfortunately can't review the breakfast at the hotel because my busy schedule towards the end of my trip required other activities than a leisurely scrumptious breakfast which I am quite sure would have been spectacular but I shall return to the Okura in Bangkok to pick up where I left off!Thank you Prestige Okura and I look forward to staying with you again!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Honeymoon

This is my second time in bangkok but first time in the okura bangkok hotel. I choose to stay at this hotel because it very convenient to travel around bangkok and of course it a five star luxury hotel. The service is top notch since when i entering the hotel the bellman escort me to check in on 24th floor. The front desk staff welcome us with a generous smile. Get the escort by Ms. Sirikorn who explained me all the room facilities and a must place to go in bangkok i ask her that where is the closes massage place near the hotel she recommend me to try the hotel new nutto massage with 20%discount for the spa as a member but it was fully booked so she recommends me to try the touch massage instead which very close to the hotel and this is made my day thank to Sirikorn that recommend me a good massage place. On 25th floor there is a infinity pool I really like the layout and the design of the swimming pool. On 24floor there is the area that serve for a breakfast we choose to eat a buffet at up&above restaurant the food were nice but the service was bad and slow. Overall at the okura is top notch service I could say that it excess my expectations will definitely come back again on November so see you soon.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Very Nice & Quite Stay

I have stayed at the Okura Prestige Hotel for 6 nights at the Executive Section. Overall the stay was wonderful. The Hotel is very quite, and has nice views of the city. They have a wide variety breakfast as well as a Japanese breakfast buffet.

The location of the hotel is very good, located just few steps of a skytrain station, and is also adjacent to the Embassy Mall. The hotel has a very nice swimming pool as well as a gym, and a spa.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Impressive Service

This was my second time to stay in this hotel. Reception staff upgraded my room and I spent 3 nights in a spacious luxurious top-floor accommodation. I was most impressed with all the staff professional and courteous manner. They were very helpful and efficient to address our needs. A very enjoyable stay and it certainly deserves my patronage again when I come to Bangkok next time.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Bangkok Visit

  • FABULOUS

The Okura Prestige Hotel far superceded our expectations. As frequent travellers around the globe we are no strangers to hotels and without hesitation, this hotel has been the best yet! Attention to detail, location, fantastic staff, cleanliness the entire experience was superb! When you arrive at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, do not pay the 2300Bhat that the taxi services at the airport charge, instead use the blue line train (airport rail link) travel with it to the last stop Phaya Thai and then change over to the sky train direction Bearing get off at the 4th stop Phloen Chit and the hotel is less that 5minutes walk ones you've gotten off the train, and this will cost you a 180Bhat... you could also try the local registered taxis (they will charge you 400Bhat. The bar at the hotel serves cold beer and the view is very nice!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Fantastic

We had a really good experience staying here for 4 nights. Top notch service from all staff, clean spacious, beautiful city and garden view. They did little things which made us feel special like leaving a dish of 2 different fruits each night, folding a crane and wish us a good night sleep...etc buffet breakfast is amazing. So many choices of foods and drinks. Location isn't too central, however it's next to a train station so we can easily catch public transport to where we want to go. There is a odd smell every time we go to the ground floor, but I guess the whole Bangkok smells like this, it's like the smell of sewage/dirty toilets which I'm really sensitive to. I don't think there is much the hotel can do about this.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Loved everything about it

This was a great stay at a great hotel. The staff is very attentive and will take care of your needs within minutes. Great plus is that the hotel is connected to the BTS station which is very useful; plus you get to stay in the AC for a little longer. Traffic is insane in Bangkok so definitely take advantage of the BTS and you can buy day passes at the ticket counter. Infinity pool is nice and water a little warm with good views of the high rise buildings. Tried the club sandwich at the pool and it was delicious. Room service options are plentiful. Loved everything about this place. Can't wait to come back!!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • nice hotel with five stars service

This is my first time in bangkok and first time in okura, during our 2 night stay with my family it was wonderful. The japanese food for breakfast was so delicious but only one point that i would to share is that the portion are to little and limited choices to choose. every staff in the hotel was so nice and helpful especially front desk If i not wrong her name is Sirikon she is very kind and helpful to us she help us to make a restaurant reservation and spa booking and she also recommends us a travel guide that must visit when you come to bangkok. nevertheless the room was so nice and clean and turn down service was professional and fast. I will definitely come back to okura again when i visit bangkok.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Impressive hotel and wonderful service

Recently stayed for 4 nights during our time in Bangkok and from the moment we walked in was impressed by the service from the staff. We had a nice room on the 31st floor overlooking the park. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and they have the fancy toilets from Japan. The daily buffet breakfast at the up and above restaurant was delicious with a wide selection of food from western and Asian cuisine. Infinity pool was nice and has great views. This hotel is located in a business district but right next to the Phloen Chit BTS which is great. Overall would highly recommend this hotel if you wish to have a luxury experience and away from the hustle and bustle. Fantastic stay.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Flawless Stay-cation

I was reluctant but my partner convinced me. He was on long business trip and wanted to spend time together without having to take a trip somewhere. So we decided to do a "stay-cation" in a local hotel in Bangkok.

The newly opened Okura Prestige is the new kid on the block and so we made reservations for the weekend. Reservations were handled promptly and efficiently.

On our arrival in the lower lobby you are greeting by a very pleasant scent (could be the Okura signature scent) and enthusiastic porters who would jump at your every movement to assist you. We had to ride the elevator up to the 24th floor for check-in and we were greeted by very pleasant and cheerful check-in staff. The 24th floor consist of the Reception, a Bar, an all day dining restaurant called Up & Above and of course Yamazato their signature Japanese Restaurant. The high ceiling and floor to ceiling windows gave you a sense of spaciousness and a breathtaking view of Ploenchit, Wireless Road and beyond. The tone of colors for the Okura are very earthy, with shades of brown, green, metallic silver and black with a splash of white. Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Our stay at Okura Prestige Bangkok

Very convenient - direct access from skytrain Phloen Chit Station to the hotel

Within walking distance to Chit Lom via Central Embassy, skybridge and to Central World and Siam

We were offered a double room located at the highest floor and the interior decor is magnificent. Daily supply of fruit and generous amount of drinking water available.

The bathtub is long and deep enough to enjoy a nice soak.

My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary dinner at one of hotel's restaurants Element, and amazingly, we were offered a nice piece of cake!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Excellent experience

My girlfriend and I stayed at Okura Bangkok for 2 nights, and I have to say this establishment and our experience were nothing but amazing. Our room was super spacious, their services and attention to detail were of the highest quality, and the location is extremely convenient. It was our first time visiting Okura/Bangkok and it will certainly not be our last. Strongly recommend.

  • Best in Bangkok

This is one of our favorite hotels in Bangkok and it was our third or fourth time staying here. I like that its not a huge hotel and not overly crowded. The hotel is beautiful, understated and very Japanese in feel. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy -- try to request a corner room so you have windows on two sides. The only complaint about the room is the A/C fan is very strong even on the lowest setting. They should try to direct the air flow away from the bed.

The breakfast buffet has an amazing selection of fruit, hot dishes, eggs etc. It can get crowded at breakfast and if you have a large group (we were 10 people) it can be difficult to get a table to fit everyone but the staff are very accommodating. You can also opt for the Japanese breakfast which my friend says he prefers because its lighter. We had a drink on the outside terrace one evening and the cool breeze was very pleasant The hotel is located opposite Central Embassy so shopping is easy.

  • Perfect Hotel with impeccable service and excellent location

Heard raving reviews about this hotel prior to my trip and my stay confirmed all the praise and positive feedbacks it truly deserves. They pay so much attention to the tiniest details..even the packaging and arrangement of the in-room toiletries is an art form. The paper boxes simulates a collage of laquer boxes with an intended design and pattern. Bravo! I don't recall any other hotels making such an effort with the design process. Especially want to thank Mr Saknarin at the Concierge desk for his kind and gracious help. He took the trouble to call our driver in advance to make sure he understood our routing for the day. Krup~Khun-Ka!

Will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • A++++ One of THE BEST hotels we've ever stayed in

his hotel is simply incredible. It's very hard to describe how amazing our 3 night stay here was. First of - the hotel is very beautiful - the lobby, the pool, restaurants... I mean everything is very very beautiful! This is truly a 5-star hotel.

    === Room ===

Our room was on 29th floor and was very spacious with view of the city and infinity pool few floors below. The room has all the amenities you need and has a heated toilet seat! When you come in, you are greeted with calm music and welcome [your name] on TV screen. Bed was very comfortable and room very very quiet. We slept incredibly well. You get fresh fruit every day and for nights, you get a very soft and comfortable night robe. Bathroom is huge with large deep tub, and rain shower.

    === Service ===

Service is bar none, really is! Every single hotel employee with encountered was incredibly polite and it felt as their #1 goal was to ensure you are happy and comfortable.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com
