Whiskey Classics and Sours at Up & Above Bar

Up & Above Bar at The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s is serving up a selection of invigorating whiskey classics and sours throughout June. These delicious cocktails include the Mint Julep. Originally created to beat the Kentucky heat, this wonderfully sweet cocktail is made with bourbon, mint syrup and ice. Also iconic is the Whiskey Sour. First created in the 1870s, this classic cocktail is simplicity itself with a mix of bourbon, fresh lemon juice and sugar syrup poured over ice. Finally, the quintessential taste of South America, the Pisco Sour was created in the 1920’s by an American bartender in Lima using Pisco Peruvian brandy, lime juice, simple syrup, egg white and a dash of Angostura bitters.
