Yamazato Restaurant Shines Bright with Tanabata Star Festival
Held in Japan every July, the Tanabata Festival celebrates the celestial love story of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi, represented in legend by the stars Vega and Altair respectively. To mark the occasion, our award-winning Yamazato restaurant is serving traditional Gozen lunch and Kaiseki dinner menu with a Tanabata theme. In addition to delicious soups and noodles, fresh sashimi, tempura and grilled offerings, diners can enjoy a Gozen starter of mussels, shrimp and a soup of duck with shimeji and vegetables. Highlights of the Kaiseki dinner include seasonal sweet fish (Ayu) with octopus and star-shaped okra, and a main dish of grilled scallop with asparagus.
