Chrysanthemum Festival Treats at Yamazato
During autumn in Japan the chrysanthemum flower, a national symbol of the country, is celebrated at festivals featuring lavish floral displays that have been specially cultivated for the occasion. At this time of year fragrant chrysanthemum petals are even included in traditional simmered and pickled dishes.
To celebrate the season, Master Chef Shigeru Hagiwara at our Michelin Plate restaurant Yamazato has created authentic chrysanthemum Gozen lunch and Kaiseki dinner treats. Highlights include a sashimi presentation encompassing tuna, yellow tail, seasonal saury fish, and sweet shrimp; and a grilled dish of Spanish mackerel with yuzu and scallop with butter, garnished with simmered chestnuts, pickled turnip and ginko nuts.
Price: Gozen lunch, Baht 1,400 per person
Kaiseki dinner, Baht 4,700 per person
