What an amazing property. This gem in the heart of the city feel authentically Japanese, as it should but at the same time it retains the incredible warmth that Thailand and its people offer to all guests. I organized a conference at The Okura Prestige and the banqueting team were spot on, all the technology worked and every guest was supremely impressed with the quality of the food and service, both at the function and the restaurant. I have been traveling for business for the past couple of weeks and my stay at Okura in Bangkok was by far the best. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were impeccable with extra thought given to the guests through little but impactful gestures in the room whether it be the Japanese night clothes, the pull out tray for the kettle or the origami bird on the bed. The room, location, swimming pool is excellent. But mostly the service provided by hotel staff's are extra-ordinary. During reservation I mentioned that my family with 8 month infant will accompany, so they were well prepared. I had baby cot, high chair, baby potty, baby bath tub and also infant amenities available on my room. Kitchen staff provided help preparing baby meal. Overall I have received one of the best customer service. I truly recommend The Okura Prestige Bangkok for Business, Family, Friends or solo visit. Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

People always say the 5* hotels at Bangkok is a bit subpar and I somewhat agreed when I stayed at Kempinski last time. But then after my stay at Okura I changed my mind.
Okura delivered true luxury with great service and excellent accommodation. Room was spacious and well appointed. I particularly loved the dressing area at bathroom with chair where I could relax and do my makeup and hair.
Furniture was very well kept and amenities were generous and in good quality (the slippers!). Air con and water was strong and bed and linen was comfy. WiFi speed was fast. Loved the turn down service with ice bucket for your drinks.
Location was great only one or two stations away from major shopping and dining sites. Central embassy mall only next door with great food hall for quick meal. Phloen Chit station access by an adjacent bridge which was very convenient except that the bridge closes at night around 9pm. 7-11 store just downstairs which we loved for all sort of snacks and beverages.
Every staff was helpful and offered the best service. They would step up and help you without the need to ask, for instance the doorman saw us roaming at entrance he came to help finding our driver and also helped us tied a box that we were bringing to the airport. Something that I missed when I stayed at another so called 5* hotel at BKK last time.
Never tried the pool which looked a bit small. Breakfast was ok not very impressive in terms of taste. Could have offered better fruit selections delivered to room each day other than apples and oranges (I mean this is Thailand the country of fruits)! Nevertheless we were very happy with our stay and will choose Okura again ! Read more: www.tripadvisor.com
