What people say about us

"Simply faultless"

by vmchang (Perth, Australia) on 17/07/2018 -

Arrived early to the hotel, they were aware I would be arriving early and my room was ready upon arrival. All the staff were excellent over the five nights that I stayed at the Okura Prestige. Elements restaurant, the lobby bar, the breakfast, everything about this hotel makes it one of the best hotels that I've had the pleasure to stay at in Bangkok.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

"Fairytale Wedding"

by EMmarine Z on 16/07/2018 -

We had our wedding there on June 23rd of 2018.

It was my absolute happiness to have married at the Okura because not only it was the most beautiful venue in Bangkok but our organizer/sales/coordinator at the Okura Mr. Jatuporn Pimsodsai was the best thing to happen to us.

Khun Tua(Mr. Jatuporn) was extremely helpful from Start to finish. He was not working with us but we felt like he was part of our family that wanted everything to come out the very best of Okura’s Ability.

We had the best food in the cocktail style wedding with a decent price. The 350+ plp guest absolutely loved it and it was the fairytale wedding my husband and I have imagined.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

"A Pleasant Experience......."

Okura Prestige Bangkok is a beautiful hotel right in the middle of Bangkok. The rooms are spacious, the staff very efficient and responsive to guests’ needs. The safety and comfort of their guest are so important to them. Another favorite in Bangkok.

"very nice"

by Ignatius I on 13/07/2018 -

The room is big and clean. I stayed here for 6 nights, and enjoyed it very much. Fresh fruits offered every day in the room and also free beers (local and imported beer) in the mini bar. The bathroom is spacious and varies aromaterapic amenities are provided.

Very closed to BTS station, so it makes it easy to go around the city by train. It is very closed to shopping mal, so you can easily walk to getting some food or buying stuff.

The executive lounge is great. Staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. The foods are varied and delicious.

Breakfast are great! You can choose either International or Japanese breakfast. Recommend to try both.

Great experience! Definitely will be back.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

"Stylish with flawless service"

by MacDaddyinSing (London, United Kingdom) on 13/07/2018 -

I spent 4 nights in a Prestige Club room on the 34th floor which I decided to upgrade to on arrival. The room was spacious with a great view and arranged parallel to the outside which made for much more window space than usual and excellent privacy. Furnishings were modern and stylish, beer/soft drinks free in the minibar and the Club package also includes a couple of pieces of free laundry each day.

The club lounge itself was also a highlight - excellent breakfast, 2-hour free drinks and food each evening and the most friendly and attentive staff you could hope for (most of whom spoke Thai, Japanese and English). The only downside of this is that it's so pleasant and relaxing that it will dissuade you from sampling Bangkok's nightlife if you are a tourist.

Finally, don't miss out on the gym or the pool - the latter an infinity pool with a fine view, that unless you go right to the edge will fool you into thinking it's a sheet drop!

I have stayed twice at the Okura, the first time on the basis of a personal recommendation and the second time returning because it was clearly better than the Hyatt where I had previously stayed.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • The very definition of service quality

I am not really sure The Okura Prestige needs my recommendation - what I *am* sure of is that everyone within their right minds will want to come back to this superb hotel.

I have been to a fair share of ***** hotels over the years and without any exaggeration I can state that every single one of them could learn from how service is defined and lived at the Okura.

Let me start by making it clear that there is a strong difference between servility and service - if you are looking for someone licking your boots, this is not the place to go (nor would I wish for the Okura to have many guests like that) but if you want to be treated respectfully and ever-watchful on a near-perfect level of helpfulness while being offered the full caleidoscope of amenities you can think of, you will love it.

The rooms are spotless, decent, spacious and offer pretty much anything you can think of including a breathtaking view from the (I think) 25th to the 31st floor of this tower.

The swimming pool gives you a great view above the city as well, nd if you want to there of course is a spa or you can choose between several lunch, dining and dinner experiences.

While the place certainly is not cheap I feel that you get more than your money‘s worth if you book well in advance - breakfast alone is a sight to behold as you can enjoy pretty much every kind of food made or presented freshly for you: this alone could be enjoyed for hours on end if you are so inclined.

So, just before my closing statement , let me also come back to a small criticism I made a couple of years back when first being a guest here: I then had the impression that the staff at the reception were insufficiently trained in their knowledge of the English language - that oversight has been taken care of in the meantime.

Finally, let me demonstrate why I love this place so much and what the sentence „The Okura oozes style...“ in their advertising brochure really means:

We arrived straight from our 11 hour-flight to Bangkok around noon a few days ago. After going through the motions at reception we were told the staff was still preparing our rooms so we said we‘d go for a coffee at the nearby bar and wait there.

Roughly 10 minutes later a receptionist popped up to inform us there was a problem with the door and this would take a little time to fix.

5 more minutes later not only was the room ready and were taken up there but our bill at the bar was scratched as complimentary for our „troubles“. I even think the lady attending to us es a tiny bit disgusted she had to iterate this in front of the guests and not just have it done automtically.

    So, there you are.

If that does not fully warrant the cost of at least one night in this very special place in Bangkok, I truly don‘t know what would.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • very friendly staff

I stayed here alone for 3 nights. The location is right in front of the sky train station. 2 stops to siam paragon shopping mall. I was checked in by a very friendly lady and i was very impressed with her service. I was recommended to join the club and have breakfast. The hotel was very decent and managed by very friendly staff. somebody told me that there was a very nice swimming pool but i did not have a chance to use it. The breakfast was really nice with very impressive service. i stayed in the Okura Prestige Taipei for several times which were also very clean and impressive.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Please Keep it UP!

    To the GM:

You and your team deserve all the wonderful compliments seen here. Bangkok is such a competitive scene when it comes to choices for hotels. Every hotel brand under the sun can be found in Bangkok. And yet you still managed to stand out, even amongst very discerning and well seasoned travellers. So congratulations!! You must be doing something right. Certainly the nice location, the modern building, and spacious rooms all contributed, but it is the CONSISTENCY on the staff's good service attitude (from concierge to reception to restaurant to spa to housekeeping) which differentiate you from others. Please do not rest on your laurels and keep it up!!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • A very pleasant stay

Excellent room and facilities. Top notch location with direct access to Sky train, and walking distance to major shopping malls. Breakfast spread is good with excellent quality. The infinity pool is incredible with a nice view of the city. But most importantly, staff are extremely helpful and caring. Will definitely stay again.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Outstanding Okura

Could not find fault with anything, from staff to food and drink everything was superb, a true five star hotel with exemplary service in the heart of bustling Bangkok.

We decided to have dinner in Elements one of the hotels restaurants. The meal was amazing as was the service. If you are a steak lover the Wagyu MS7 Sirloin is unbelievably good. Having a table overlooking the open kitchen made the experience even better.

Thank you to everyone at Okura for making our stay so enjoyable, we have found our Bangkok Hotel and won’t be staying anywhere else.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Hotel of First class service with malls at its footstep

We had room on the top floor with almost 15-meter long window. Comfortable bed. Bathroom is spacious for 2 persons. Hotel staff are friendly and attentive. Breakfast buffet is good , although not the best we had come across.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

Okura has an amazing team, they are always ready to help. the hotel is well organized and clean, I like everything there; the room, the pool and the food, especially that they provide Halal food during the happy hour.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Caviar, Lobster and Suprises

Stayed here for 3 nights- this was my 2nd time staying in the hotel.

Had a very nice surprise- they gave us a small upgrade and a signed birthday cake and card from the staff! It's little gestures like this that are nice.

The first night- we wanted to order caviar at the bar- however it was sold out- the staff let me buy my own caviar and served it. (they ran out of bellinis and we had to make do with cheese crackers.. ) but still a nice flexible addition. Also, hotel guests get 20% off all F&B which is nice! My wife raved about the massage and spa too.

Location is great- connected to BTS and Central Embassay. Feels very understated, posh hotel.

All in all great hotel!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Excellent hotel

Excellent hotel for business and pleasure with a great staff and fine dining. Nice spectacular outdoor pool well located in the city. I can highly recommend this hotel for business travellers as well as leisure travellers.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Very good hotel, good location

I spent with my wife for 3 nights, to celebrate my wife birthday and also to meet very old friends in Bangkok. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a nice double bed room on the 31st floor with wonderful view towards the south side of Wireless Road.

During our stay, special thanks to Executive Chef, Alvaro Roa, he provided one special pack of Columbia coffee for my wife, as well as the F/B manager Mr. Antoine Perie, arranged a special birthday cake for my wife, and we did chat a lot about coffee beans as well. we did enjoy a lot, for sure, we will come back to Okura, with my family and our grand children...  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Terrific Hotel and people

I loved this place. Very well appointed and luxurious. Very clean and well kept. But most of all the staff are so helpful and friendly. They couldn’t wait to serve. Even the GM took my luggage out to the car taking me to the airport. Doesn’t matter who it they will help in anyway from greeting, bell help and registration. I had the Prestige club. What a wonderful treat these people were.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Good choice of hotel in Bangkok

We had wonderful stay for 5 nights at Okura. Bathroom amentities were good for family travellers. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast at Up and Above was the highlight. Chief Concierge was passionate and professional; he indeed helped us seamlessly in terms of transportation and restaurant booking.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Good but not perfect

When we arrived to hotel, the check in staff was a trainee took 15-20mins to finish our check in. Our door has problem and we went down to lobby to fix the door 3 times on the first day. When we came back in the evening, we checked with the staff at reception to ensure my door is fixed before going up the room, however it is not working again. My wife and me complained to manager. She said she updated the door lock and the key need to be renewed. I think they should enhance the communication to avoid the guests keep going up and down.

The breakfast was good but not perfect. They can change the variety more every day. I stayed there 4 nights, I am a bit boring of the options.

The hotel room is spacious as we got upgraded after room change due to door issue. The hardware I can say is not very new because they opened years ago. The cleanliness is acceptable and the staffs are overall friendly. I will suggest them to have internal training and better communication.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Top notch services!

My first visiting The Okura Prestige Bangkok. I stayed one night on the 19th of June. Since I was on a business trip and traveling alone. I wanted to make the best of my time in Bangkok and The Okura was the correct decision!

The reception is up on the 24th floor. My first impression was the hotel's lobby. It's beautiful. I love the deco, very sophisticated. My room on the 29th floor has a very large window overlooking the city. The bed is huge and very comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay, especially my experience at Element restaurant. Delicate French/Japanese cuisine. Friendly staffs and professional. The servers are having good service skills, very knowledgeable when presenting foods and beverages. I ordered a Frozen Margarita the Cocktails was not disappointed!! Superb food and service throughout the night.

The hotel's breakfast is Fantastic!!!  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Good place stay

The hotel lobby is situated on 24/F. The deco is neat and grand. The staff were friendly and efficient during check in. Their pool is on 25/F. It is an infinity pool and the view is perfect. They even served us fruits skewers by the pool. It was really nice! I tried their Japanese style breakfast once. It was nice but their choice is limited. I prefer their western style breakfast which is buffet style but they don’t have enough tables during rush hours. Some of us needed to sit at the bar area. The room size is a bit smaller than I expected. Their location is perfect as it can directly access to the “Phloen Chit” BTS Station. It is perfect for family with young kids.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Simply elegant

Elegantly minimalist and modern is the Okura. The color palette soothes the senses, a wonderful contrast to the bustling heart of Bangkok. Impeccable service from the day I arrived to the day I departed. From the little boxes of evening delights to Supang's many wonderful insights and expert recommendations (concierge), and the attentive check-in and check-out at the club lounge, my stay was nothing short of exceptional.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • That Bed!

It was a splendid start here at Okura with my sister. The room was so spacious and I especially loved the bed. You can fit few people on it! Service although slow at times still was always done with a smile. Breakfast was nice however repetition and quality can be questioned. I did like the Japanese breakfast as we tried it the last day but I wonder if that too is repeated. I loves the location as there is a fabulous food court just across the hotel with everything under the sun.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Proper 5 star

As ever with a leader hotel, this was a truly 5* experience. Exceptional help from supang the concierge. Amazing food in the Japanese restaurant.. Great breakfast. I felt that i was the only guest there as I was looked after so well. Amazing rooms.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com

  • Wonderful Hotel

This hotel was nice way beyond my expectations. Rooms are very well appointed and well thought out. Staff were impeccably attentive and friendly, room was perfectly clean and I had a greats nights sleep because of great soundproofing between rooms.

I'll certainly try to stay here next time I'm in BKK.  Read more: www.tripadvisor.com
