"Probably the best hotel in Bangkok"

Kenny S (Hong Kong, China) on 10/04/2019 -

I stay at Okura every time I visit Bangkok simply for one reason - they are the best! The moment I arrived every staff from the concierge and front desk they all treated me with great attention and hospitality. Checked-in was quick and simple without the need of waiting or filling up lots of forms. This time I was being upgraded to the Premium room it has a spectacular view overlooking the city, the room is absolutely flawless - it is clean, tidy, and the bed was very comfy. Okura Bangkok score a 100 would highly recommend this hotel if you plan to visit Bangkok.

"True luxury"

Svetlana (Belgrade, Serbia) on 27/03/2019 -

We have booked two deluxe rooms for 6 nights in this gorgeus hotel. All reviews we have read on tripadvisor were true - hotel is absolutely excellent!
Breakfast is amazing!
One suggestion: if you decide to have japanese breakfast, wear long sleeves - it’s pretty cold inside!
Location is great - close to skyline, and in Bangkok it is really most important thing.
We have bought rabbit cards for BTS - 400 bath per person was enough for our stay.
I recommend it, as we saw long lines on ticket machines several times. You need passport to get rabbit card.
We took hotel’s limo on both ways from and to the airport. Traffic jam is unbeleivable: almost 1,5 hours to get to the hotel from BKK airport.
Limo was great choice: wifi, cold water...
Great drivers!
We have had light lunch at up and above restaurant - great club sandwiches!
Last night we have had drinks on terrace - it was really windy, but we enjoyed it anyway!
And, with drinks we got nice snacks

  • Japanese hospitality in BKK!

The hotel has simple design throughout. We love the location where it is at the heart of the city but still carries a sense of serenity. Breakfast, both Western & Japanese is awesome. The room is big for the price. The staff named Saran at the concierge was exceptionally helpful and his English is perfect. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Bangkok!

  • Consistent superb quality and good location

It was my third stay at this hotel and I am always impressed by how dedicated the staff is there. Every one of them puts all of their energy into making you feel special and appreciated. Their English language skills were far superior to what I have generally or on average experienced in Thailand. This is actually a huge plus in that the flow of communication between the staff and its customers is smooth and flawless. This is by far the most professionally run hotel I’ve stayed at. There is a feeling of seamless consistent high quality and pampering involved in its soft lulling atmosphere which is actually based on a Japanese/Thai concept. All I can say is that if you want to relax after a day or evening in the hustle and bustle of the nearby Sukhumvit neighborhood this is definitely the place. The breakfast btw is divided into traditional Thai and Japanese food concepts. The neighborhood is clean and peaceful and not nearly as crowded as near the Terminal 21 mall. But as always as a fellow traveler when in Bangkok keep your wits about you and don’t talk to strangers on the street. Bangkok is otherwise for the most part peaceful and safe. Enjoy the hotel Okura Prestige in Bangkok!

  • Excellent stay and awesome breakfast

Had an relaxing and wonder stay in Okura Prestige for 4 nights. Check-in was a breeze and we were escorted to our room by hotel staff. We booked a deluxe corner room which as a nice view on all sides of the room. Because Okura is a Japanese branded hotel, their toilet and bathroom are separated and the toilet even come with a Japanese style electronic Bidet seat, which we enjoyed using during our trip to Japan last year.

Breakfast was as their Up and Above restaurant and it was ok. The choices and varieties of food served on each day was almost the same. We do loved their Omelette/Egg specials, which you can order from your table.

Overall, location of the Hotel is good for tourist who who rely on using BTS for going around Bangkok as it is well connected to the Phloen Chit BTS Station. Shopping at Central Embassy is also accessible via the covered walkway. 7-Eleven is also in the same building and is available 24Hrs if you need to find something to drink or munch on a late night.

  • Stay w Okura hotel Bangkok

My 2nd stay at the hotel, I must say the service was impressive and the Japanese designed room with touch of modern simplicity really makes the stay an enjoyable one. Definitely will stay again with okura even for holidays

  • It still remain the best hotel ever!

This is the 4th time I stay in Okura Prestige Bangkok.
I have to say that among all hotels I stayed around Asia, and Bangkok but this is definitely the best!!
From the beginning until my departure, it has been the best experience ever, i felt being so comfortable.
The Club Lounge team: Paul (Opal), Euro, Crystal and Fon, they have been so great for taking care of me and attention to details by offering the best service.
The restaurants Yamazato, Up & Above; great service and food.
The room, I was in the Peemium King Room, very good and comfortable, nothing more to ask.
The Swimming pool and Gym staff also great service.
The Spa, I had two times massage, very professional from the reception to the therapist named Mon.
After my departure I realize I forgot a jacket and tee shirts, I have informed the hotel and they have confirmed and replying that they will keep it for me or they can arrange the shipping to me. I asked to keep it until my next visit as for sure I will be back in Okura Prestige.
    I recommend this hotel!
    Thanks so much.

  • Superb.

The best of Thailand combined with the best of Japan.

I arranged an airport transfer and we were met at the entrance by a hotel representative who took us directly to our room, by-passing the front desk to check-in. I did book the lowest room category, which I usually don't like to do, but I had nothing to worry about. The room was absolutely fantastic - huge walk-in closet, large workspace/table for two, one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. I was in love with the hot water kettle and green tee provided. I also loved how you could open up the bathroom for an open concept of keep it closed off. The shower was wonderful and the bathtub was amazing. I normally don't take baths, but I found myself in there every night.

Breakfast is spectacular. The choices are almost overwhelming and I kept wanting to try the Japanese breakfast but never got a chance to because the Western breakfast is just so good. The pastries especially were great, which is actually really hard to find in Thailand. Yamazato has some of the best Japanese food we've ever had.

I actually really like that you have to take an elevator from the ground floor to the lobby, and then another to the guestrooms. It's a nice transition from the hectic outside world of Bangkok to the calm and serene atmosphere of the Okura Prestige. The public spaces are grand and airy but not overwhelming. I loved that there were two kinda old school features: a flower shop and a patisserie. Very charming. An indoor link to the Skytrain is a godsend. And the attention to the details is amazing: the typefaces used, the motif on carpet in the public spaces is used on the boxes of the amenities....I could go on.

It is one of the more expensive choices in Bangkok, but in my opinion, definitely worth it.

  • Great stay at the Okura Prestige and highly recommend this place for first time visitors!

This was my first trip to Bangkok and couldn't have had the experience I did had i stayed anywhere else. I've learned on many foreign trips that the hotel where I stay makes or breaks my trip. Considering this was a business trip, having access to the main transportation (train) within the city was key! Okura is one of the main stops and to access the train, you literally walk up to the next floor and you're there! The service from the time I stepped out to the check in and while I was there was 5 stars!! The breakfast buffet was loaded with every thing you could think of and all the fresh juices and local fruits every morning. The layout of the room was perfect! And I do love the separate shower/tub option! The Executive lounge overlooks the city and is always well stocked with cold and hot drinks, along with snacks. The gym is a plus and I also had a chance to take a swim in the infinity pool!
Book your next stay here - you won't be disappointed, I promise!

  • comfortable, clean, and good location

It is a nice hotle, comfortable, clean and good location. We just pass an oveline birdge to Embassy Center where you may go to for shopping and eating. It takes about 20 minuters to Central World by walking. Everyone in the hotel gave us polite and helpful feeling, especially the customer service line. The boys in front gate were efficient. I have a suggestion in up above resturant menu: it would be better to post dish photos in it so it is more easy to order our dishes

  • Enjoyable stay with excellent location & breakfast buffet

Staff were very friendly yet professinal. Breakfast buffet had a variety of choices. Room was spacious with nice little gift after turn down service. In addition, the hotel is situated in an excellent location with easy access to BTS and shopping malls

  • AWESOME stay

Stayed for 3D2N and was here for planning meeting. Had an awesome stay - with great service from the staff, nice room that gives a luxury vibe, good spread at their lunch buffet - what else to complain!

  • Have a wonderful Tea time at here

I has a wonderful experience at Up and above Bar .Really enjoy with beautiful afternoon tea pairing with nice tea .I must say staff is very courteous and prompt ,they have made me feels like at home. Very good service.

  • Considerate & Caring

An amazing hotel where the staff cannot do enough for you. The concierge was helpful in providing information for sight seeing & local activities. Taxis were easy to come by with the help of the doormen.
The rooms were spacious & beautifully maintained. The rooms were cleaned twice a day with a turn down service & beautiful Japanese robes laid out to sleep in. The extra special touch of a paper origami crane was beautiful. Fresh fruit, bottles of water & beverages always make the stay better.
Breakfast were self service, but eggs cooked fresh to your liking. My MSG allergy made it difficult for me to eat outside or in some of the restaurants, but every morning fresh food was separately prepared for me without MSG.
The staff through out the hotel were amazingly polite & helpful.
Hot candle massage was perfect for the aching limbs after sight seeing.

Centrally located for shopping centres & the Sky trains.

Which meant you were in the thick of it and never too far from anything.

Oh did I mention the open air infinity swimming pool hanging from the side of the building!

I could go on, trust me it’s worth the extra.

  • Sweet arrangement for our anniversary

Our family stayed 2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary with my 5-years old kid. I have emailed the hotel in advance to check about the room facilities and didn’t expect they will arrange a very sweet welcome and surprise in our room!

The buffet breakfast is great and decent, especially O like the made to order egg white omelette. The infinite pool is awesome at the central Bangkok, we definitely will be back again soon!

  • One of Bangkok finest, with central location

The Okura Prestige in Bangkok is one of Bangkok finest hotels. It's a gorgeously decorated hotel in a central location with easy access to the SkyTrain, the best way to get around this busy city.Staff is impeccable and very friendly! Reason for us to keep coming back

  • Excellent hotel

The Okura Bangkok is an exquisite hotel. Everything here is about elegance and refinement, even the service which is very efficient but discreet. The rooms are very confortable and the quality of the craftmanship is quite impressive. I will definitively stay again at The Okura

  • Excellent services

Okura staff are excellent. They provided excellent support for medical service to attend to our family member. Not only that, they frequently checked the status to ensure we are all ok. Very warm services. Highly recommend

  • excellent location and service

I stayed at the hotel for a short 2 days. the location of this property is excellent. it is connected to the sky train (metro rail ) system and is right next to central plaza which caters to shopping / eating at the food court. service was another thing that really stood out, special mention of Lucia at the front desk is necessary. she was immaculate in her mannerism with desks and carried a perfect balance of helpfulness and professionalism. Overall i would highly recommend this property as it is a very good blend of service, quality and location.

  • My 3rd stay

I stayed in November 2018 for four nights here. Everything was still perfect like on my first stay a few years back. The hotel looks still like brand new and the staff is very professional as always. Still impressed with the high quality of the building and materials all over the place. The rooms are designed to perfection. The breakfast and Sunday brunch buffet is hard to beat. Only the Orange Juice could be better. Nothing more to say then it‘s a well deserved Leading Hotel of the World! Big compliments to the GM and the whole staff. Tremendous achievement to keep the service and maintenance on such a high level!

  • Great customer service and comfortable stay

I have been there a few times as their staff is always friendly and the room is comfortable. I was warmly greeted by the staff at the reception. Room is spacious and clean. I will probably book this again for my next trip.

  • Perfect location to visit Bangkok

Ideal location to visit Bangkok, close to the business area and to shopping centers. Very nice lobby and warm welcome from hotel employees. Rooms are very confortable with nice view on the highest floors. Nice swimmming pool on the 25th floor.
Very good breakfast at the international restaurant.
